Dreaming of the Other Mother

Lately I’ve been feeling kind of… Well less monsterous than usual, and after spending some time doing some real soul-searching, realized that I have a terrible crush on the Other Mother from Coraline. I mean I can’t stop thinking about her. Today I found myself at the Official Coraline website, which if you haven’t been there, is quite a treat. They have a number of creepy and fun things to do. For example, in the garden you can design your own monster flowers. You can also go to visit Miss Spink and Miss Forcible, who unfortunately aren’t in their mermaid and Botticelli’s Birth of Venus costumes. Spink and Forcible will, however read your tea leaves. You can also visit the Great Bobinky’s flat and see a mouse show.

I Heart the Other Mother

Of course, these attractions did very little to cure my heartsickness. The closest you can get to visiting the lovely Other Mother on the official site is to visit the Other Mother’s Workshop. *Sigh* On the plus site, when you visit the Other Mother’s Workshop, you have the opportunity to “button” your eyes. How excitingly grand!
