I like to use a 60 or 65 lb cover or cardstock paper. If you use regular 20 lb copy paper, it'll be too soft, but if you use 80 lb cover, that's too stiff and hard to work with. 60 lb is just right.

As for Chamoo232's model: Yes, that model is a real pain to build. To start with, it's a complicated subject for a model, but also it was designed using Pepakura Designer. This means that Chamoo232 created a 3D model, fed it to the software, and then provided tips to the software to make it better than it would be without human assistance, but then really a machine decided how to unwrap the model. That means it isn't going to be as easy to build as something designed by hand. In fact, while I'm grateful software like Pepakura exists because otherwise some of these homespun cool models wouldn't exist, at the same time the models can be really annoying to build.

If you don't have any paper model experience, I would recommend starting with something more simple and/or something that was designed by hand. There are lots of examples of cool models on paperkraft.blogspot.com

Umm, I have a question about paper models? What kind of paper is the best to use when making a paper model? The Pyramid Head paper model by Chamoo232 is really confusing and was wondering if you have any tips on making paper models.
